Robox SingleX Head with 0.6mm Olsson Ruby Nozzle

This is a simplified head which is designed for experimentation using the Robox motion platforms, it uses retraction rather than valves to control flow of material. It will fit any Robox which uses the HeadLock system.

The E3D V6 Nozzle-X 0.6mm is fitted to this head.

Nozzle X / 1.75mm / 0.6mm

The Nozzle X is hard, and also maintains this hardness to high temperatures without softening. To further increase the hardness and smoothness a layer of hard, slick nickel plating was added; this coating reduces sticking of the material to the nozzle, but does not totally eliminate it; the coating will wear away from the nozzle tip-flat if used with abrasive material, but will still remain on the important ‘cone’ portion where material tends to build up.

The use of wire brushes should be avoided.

This nozzle allows use of abrasive materials such as carbon or glass filled nylon along with many other similar material combinations.

Please note that when this head is fitted with the Nozzle X the maximum build height is reduced. The nozzle tip is about 10mm lower once fitted.
